A design with all Elastic Chain logos interconnected and a title “Elastic Chain | Roadmap Update”

Zyfi has been deeply involved in the ZKsync ecosystem from the beginning, ensuring the best possible User Experience with its paymaster technology.

Today, Zyfi is expanding its efforts to various Elastic Chains, with a $50,000 gas grant program still available.

Let’s dive into Elastic Chains and why Zyfi continues to build in this space.

Quick Recap of Elastic Chain Tech

To understand the depth and potential of the ZK stack, let’s first address the core issues it seeks to resolve in crypto today:

  • Gas fees and management
  • Liquidity fragmentation
  • Bridge risks

To tackle these problems, ZKsync built a comprehensive framework, the ZK Stack, aimed at revolutionizing Ethereum rollups. This framework gives developers full control over their chain’s features, including data availability, consensus, chain type (Validium, Volition, ZK rollup), and ownership.

Elastic Chains form a trustless network of Zero Knowledge proof chains that enhance scalability and interoperability within blockchain systems.

A key component of this stack is the Hyperbridge, a shared bridge that interconnects zkEVM chains, allowing assets to be bridged securely across ZK chains.

Another key component is the ZKsync VM (Zero-Knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine), which executes transactions like the traditional EVM but with a unique set of functionalities. It serves as the computation engine for ZK rollups, handling cryptographic proofs and rollup-specific contracts, enabling quick execution, zk-proof security, and more.

One more critical feature is Native Account Abstraction. On ZK chains, all accounts function as smart wallets. This allows users to enjoy the benefits of smart wallet features, like paymaster transactions and gas sponsorship, regardless of whether they’re using an EOA or smart wallet.

In summary, Elastic Chains offer low costs, ease of use (e.g., FaceID/Passkey), and the benefits of mathematical security. The revolution of this stack has already begun, with examples like Cronos zkEVM and Abstract testnet already live, and over 20 ZK chains expected to launch by the end of the year.

Zyfi Supports Elastic Chains

Elastic Chains represent a transformative opportunity for crypto adoption and improved user experience. From the start, Zyfi has focused on user experience by bridging the gap between EOAs and smart wallets to deliver a seamless on-chain experience on both accounts.

Zyfi is actively supporting the expansion initiated by ZKsync Era and has begun deploying its paymaster contracts on live chains. Cronos zkEVM was the first where we deployed on both the testnet and mainnet. The shared ZK stack allowed us to replicate our ZKsync deployment with minimal adjustments, such as changing the base gas token to zkCRO and updating the API chain ID.

Abstract testnet was the second network where we deployed our paymaster contracts, and the process was even smoother as ETH remained the base token.

As more ZK chains go live using the ZK Stack, Dapps on these chains will be able to integrate Zyfi’s flexible and secure paymaster contracts, offering gasless experiences to their users.
